I was searching for something and found your page. You have my sympathy and prayers. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. There shall be no more death neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4
"Peace I leave with you my peace I give unto you:not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

Cling to Jesus, He loves you.

I have been thinking a lot about Amanda & you all the past few days. I cannot express my sympathy enough for the events that took place Tuesday. I truly believe though, that justice will be served- it has to; for Amanda. I know that whatever happens, justice will prevail. You and your family are- as always- in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Ooli

Like many people who went to a large school. I didn't know most of my classmates as well as I could have. All I have to think back about Amanda, is that she was about the sweetest person you could run into. Probably the only time we talked was when we ran smack into each other outside. I was very sad when I got the invite to join this foundation. Hopefully this horrible thing can be made into a beautiful one, for other people.

I knew Amanda for many years. We played softball together, and her and my sister Kim were good friends. In fact I remember several of us staying the night at her house one night and we all played War and Clue. I was shocked whenever I found out what happened to her. She will truely be missed and will forever be watching all of us from heaven. WE MISS YOU AMANDA!!!

Amanda was a very sweet and compasionate person that touched the lives of everyone that she came in contact with. Wheather it be through her words or just her friendly and caring smile. And who could forget that laugh, I know that I can't and never will. She is and will always be in my thoughts and prayers and know that we are all blessed to have an angel watching over us.

Love always

What a fabulous 3rd Annual Golf Tournament, I had a spectacular time and was happy I could make it back in town for it. Already looking forward to next years outing. Congrats to everybody on your hard work in lobbying the Missouri Legislature to create October 14th as Amanda Cates Day in Missouri. I will miss you all but I'll be back for the Golf Tourney, Frank couldn't win without me! What a great accomplishment all in the name of a cherished Officer. See you all soon.......................................

I am a Police Officer with the City of Des Peres. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to meet Amanda. I have organized a team and participated in the Amanda Cates Golf Tournament the last two years. I enjoyed meeting Amanda's family, friends, and co-workers. It is a well organized event that is a lot of fun and is, of course, for a very good cause. I am hoping to be available to play in this years tournament as well! I was touched by Amanda's story and am interested in participating in any event for the cause.

I check the website, but if you have an email list, here is mine: ***********

Thank you for all you do,
Amie

(note from cates family, Thank you Amie, we have added your email to our list and removed it from public view.)

Here is the communication from Speaker Richard in reference to my inquiry about HR 1388, and a link to track the legislation. Just copy and paste the link to your browser.

Mr. McCreary,
Thank you for writing to express your concerns regarding House Resolution 1388 and for sharing your involvement with Ms. Cates’ case. As you know, this legislation’s purpose is to recognize October 14, 2009, as "Amanda Kay Cates Day" in Missouri in honor of victims of domestic violence.
This legislation was referred to the Rules Committee yesterday. You may track the progress of HR1388 at http://www.house.mo.gov/content.aspx?info=/bills091/bills/hr1388.htm .

Sincerely,
Speaker Ron Richard

I just spent a few, but very important minutes contacting State Representatives about Hr 1388 in Amanda's honor. I thought I would look at the site as I have not seen it in a while. I just thought I would say I think it is a great legacy and hope that you have continued success for Amanda, her school and foundation, Normandy P.D. and most importantly ,her family.
